Maintaining an assortment of professional affiliations, Mitchell Blutt, MD, serves as founder and chief executive officer of Manhattan-based healthcare investment firm Consonance Capital. Holding board certification in internal medicine, Dr. Blutt garnered notoriety as one of the first medical doctors to use his training to recognize new investment opportunities in the healthcare sector. Earlier in his career, he filled the posts of Head of Global Life Sciences & Health Care and Executive Partner at JP Morgan Partners. Also, he instructed students as a clinical assistant professor of medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College.
Presently, Dr. Mitchell Blutt sits on the Weill Cornell dean’s council. He has participated on the boards of more than 30 organizations affiliated with the health care industry, including the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. Also, he maintains memberships with the International Board of Governors, Peres Center for Peace, and New York Academy of Medicine. Dr. Blutt received an undergraduate degree in psychobiology, a Master of Business Administration, and a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania.
